In Beacon Hill there stands a house with glass for walls. While this looks beautiful and offers plenty of natural light, it also means people can see into the house. On top of this the volume of light caused extreme glare and heated up the room to unacceptable standards.

TintFX installed Slate 10, a dark yet reflective film. Since then it has enjoyed far more privacy, the rooms are now usable and money is being saved from the airconditioning bills.

People peering into your house as they walk past, thieves looking for potential targets, or neighbours trying to snoop into your personal affairs are all problems when windows look onto public areas. Curtains or blinds can offer much needed privacy but remove most natural light and who wants to sit in the dark?

So what do you do about it? TintFX offers a wide range of films, which provide privacy while not obscuring your view.

Due to the difference in brightness between your house and the outside our reflective range reflects just enough light to prevent your rooms being seen, yet keeps your room bright and naturally lit.

Furthermore, the higher quality films are capable of reflecting only one side so on overcast days or at night you are not stuck with a reflective interior.

Solar Window Films offer daytime only privacy which is diminished when the outside environment becomes darker than the inside. Best level of privacy is achieved when the outside light is 7% greater than the inside light. As it is getting darker outside – the inside gets more visible. When it is sunny outside, the faces of people inside are not visible to the external onlookers.

If you are looking at achieving Day and Night Privacy, be aware that this is not possible to reach with a solar control window film.

If solar window film is not suitable for you for that reason, frosted window films or pre-printed decorative 3M FASARA films could be another option for you.
